Eh. My first name is very common (Sarah) as is my middle name (Elizabeth). If my middle name was something more interesting (Marian) I'd prefer it.

YES YES YES YES, I always wanted to be called by my middle name. Until, I met my husband; his ex-wife's name is the same as my middle name. Now I am so, so, so glad I never was called by my middle name. It's Michelle, by the way. My first name is french too but much harder for people to pronounce.

Kristina is beautiful for a middle name but I prefer Emily because it was my great grandmother's name and she was a wonderful woman. I am proud to be the only one out of about 45 grand/great grandkids, to be named after her.

I love my middle name. It was my grandfather's name. Unfortunately, it is not one that is in popular use today. It would draw some "covered grins". So, no, I guess I would keep my old, common, first name as it is. Blend in. Don't make waves. Don't be too different, even in your name. Get along......Screw it! The name is HIRAM! Hiram of Tyre, sent shiploads of "Cedars of Lebanon" to King David to help build the first temple in Jerusalem. Hiram means "most noble". And my grandfather was a most noble man. And I am proud to carry his name.

I love my first name as its unusual in the English language but common in the Spanish language and it forms a link with my adoptive father(who has passed away, and who I adore) who named me at birth. I use this name, abbreviated, daily and at work, they call me by it, my best friends use it and some family call me by it.

My middle name is Sarah and I have used it in certain work places as my only name. A friend at one place started calling me Sarita and it stuck- again, only in certain situations.

I got Llewelyn for a middle name. In proper gaelic it sounds like someone working up to spit...

I'll just stick with my first one - fond as I am of Llewelyn!

  • I don't know. My name is Kristin Alexis. I absolutely dislike the name Kristin(especially the way its spelled, my mom wanted it to be unique), but people will start thinking I'm a car. *thinks deeply about this*. Yeah, I'd rather have my first name being my middle name, Alexis.

    Ick.

    No.

I hate them BOTH. Actually, I don't like ANY of my names. They're so COMMON. I know five other people with my first name, two people with the same middle name, one with my middle name as there first name, one with my first AND middle name, one with my first AND last name (very confusing!).

There are SO many people with my last name. There's a town near us, and you can drive down one road with at least 3 businesses featuring my last name.

And don't ask what my name is, because I'll never tell! :-p

Mercedes vs. Lacey. That's a toss up. I drive a Mercedes, so maybe if I went by Mercedes I would sound like a twat. Hah, I'll stick with my first name, Lacey.

I sometimes wish I had one of my middle names(sarah or elizabeth)because I sometimes get bullied for my name (not gonna say what it is)because I am the only one out of 1200 people at my school to have it and probably the whole world lol but then again it is unique.

Both my brother and I are called by our middle names (thanks for confusing all the teachers and government agents, mom). I like my middle name better, but I wish she'd switched the order of my names around to save me the hassle.
