  • Yup, I support any mother and father who seek to provide the best life, and opportunities, possible for their children. I don't want to get into the wrongs and rights of immigration. However, if the laws allow for this child to gain citizenship by virtue of its place of birth. And if the laws and procedures allow the mother to give birth to the child in the US - than you cannot, for one second, blame that mother for wanting to do the best for her child. Wouldn't we all want to take advantage of the laws and benefits of a country if we needed to, were able to, and if we were in the kind of situation that demanded it? Any frustrations about immigrants should always be directed towards the government that allows or faciliatates any kind of abuse of the system, and not the individual who abuses the system. In my opinion.
  • We "support" the newly born citizen (and his/her non-Citizen parents) with our tax dollars, whether we want to, or not. +5
  • No I am not in favor. I feel bad because there are some that actually are trying to come to the states to better their lives and are honest in trying to pay their hosptial bills but unfortunatly there are so many free loaders that they all fall in the same "freeloading" category.
  • No, and I think it's asinine that the US allows it. Most nations don't. ESPECIALLY when it comes to illegal immigrants.
  • No. Unless that child is going to be a cooperative and law abiding U.S. citizen. It is fine if the family wants their child to have more opportunities but that child must be a good citizen and abide by OUR language like every other generation had to.
  • And what would my support entail?
  • From Bangladesh, Pakistan, India most of the pregnant women who can afford an airline ticket and has a visitor visa they do come to United States to give birth. This is nothing new! This is very popular ideas in most of the third world. I have seen at list eight persons and they never pay the hospitals bills. Couple weeks ago someone arrived here in Atlantic City, New Jersey from Bangladesh to give birth to her first child! As an U.S. citizen, I want the congress to pass the bill “So NO foreigner can come and just damping babies in U.S. soil for U.S. Citizenship!” (Means foreign children shouldn’t have right for citizenship) We the U.S. Citizen get panelized because of unpaid medical bills left by these foreigner. Our health care systems have to collect these bills somewhere, and they do target the citizens like us. Every year our health insurance goes up and up! Because of the U.S. law these people are taking advantage. I hear, law is going to change, my questions is when??? (I am with a health care industry)
  • U.S. is catching up with the third world,No problem let them come!
