  • No. I assume the date of the citation is in fact correct, thus putting you and the officer in the correct year. You might try using it as a defense if you do not show up for court and then get arrested. If it were me, I would show up.

  • The citation is still valid. The officer can change this in open traffic court. He must have had a donut on his mind.
