How did the continental congress finance the revolutionary war?

    They did get some foreign aid from France as well as leadership. Each Colony was asked to contribute and sent men, supplies, etc. Evidently donations from the wealthy and others in the Colonies were used. Money was a problem constantly with very little being paid to soldiers.
