I'm afraid that is about as good as it gets. Also, it is enough to identify the toy just as it is enough to identify the fan and computer memory. I have seen the toy before but do not know its name.

Not really. The fan is much bigger than the mystery toy. There isn't enough detail for me to even have a clue.

It is part of a construction set. This is the piece which joins the other pieces together. One girl here said she had seen one but didn't know the name.

Is it a sphere with little outlets on six sides? Is it hollow and clear? If the answer is "yes" to those questions then it may be part of a set called "Capsela" I used to play with them and loved them but it's impossible to find now.
