I doubt it seriously. It is very hard to get confirmation from the fitness committee in my state to be able to sit for the bar exam. Talk to the state bar in your state, or an admissions person at the law school you are interested in.
If this person has his heart set on being an attorney and the prospects are dim, he might consider getting a paralegal certificate while he is in college. The Bar might have exceptions for someone who works in the field for a period of time.
