    Yes, from my understanding. Think about the stretching involved to get the shoulders and hips through that little ... canal.

    However, my understanding is also that the pain is forgotten quickly, and many women find they want to have another.

    Yes Labor hurts but natural breathing helps a lot. Learn it know it and tune the world and pain out during labor.
    I didn't scream once because I new how to breath.

    Yeah. That's why women scream while giving birth. Screaming generally indicates some sort of pain or fear. It's also the reason why the epidural was invented.
