More serioius glitches have happened in the past. More will happen in the future. And as the old saying goes: "This, too, shall pass."
Every time such an issue comes up you have a spread of people from one end of the spectrum to the other. Some find it "intolerable". Others yawn and move on, coming back now and again to check. And some stick around and grumble and commiserate with each other until things get better.
Doubtless, similar results will happen here.
Here's my personal view to put things into perspective:
Answerbag is a free site. It does NOT affect my income, nor dies it put food on my family's table or a roof over our heads. It's entertainment...not a job. It's socializing with people...not paying my bills. It's providing friendly advice, not acting as a mechanic, doctor, or psychologist.
I can therefore easily afford to take the time off of AB if I have to while this is being worked out.
Heck, I could use the time to design and build something nice for her for Christmas while I'm at it! Those spice cabinets the kids and I built for Mother's Day this year went over REAL well!

AB can kiss my ass right now. It hasn't been recording ANYthing for me for the past eight hours. My comment light has been on forever, but it won't give me them, OR my ratings and I'm getting fed up with this crap.
(And it's not people not rating me, I see my number of points decreasing as I approach the next level, so obviously, someone's giving points.)
So I just kept clicking marked all as read, but I probably missed a whole buncha comments.
I wouldn't MIND, if they were trying to fix it, but the adds work fine, and those have been prioritized over us a while back, so it's just bunk as all hell.
And it always HAS had glitches, it's just annoying, I've seen communities equally as big, and even bigger, as over here, work fine. It's extremely unprofessional and makes me want to type swears everywhere I go.

I'm a die-hard and will stick around. I remember the one awhile back and it was HUGE and lasted for a few days. We all survived and lived to tell about it! LOL "This too shall pass".

possibly, but it is of no consequence. AB has pretty good search engine saturation, so there are more where they came from-in fact there must be more for them to survive.

I haven't left before, so I certainly won't leave for this. The site has had worse glitches, and a number of chronic glitches, and I get PB'd once a week for using profanity, but I'm still here for some reason, so...
But, it figures that my first day back from being PB'd, I would be greeted with a glitch that makes the site nearly unusable. It really should be fixed.
Actually, I wouldn't mind a bad glitch weeding out some of the less dedicated members. I figure the fewer users here, the better. I mean, it seems pretty clear that the admin is having a hard time handling a site this large, so it's probably a good thing for everyone.

I joined AB in 2005 and got really active in February 2007 and there have always been whiners/complainers/moaners/groaners who were verbally abusive and insulting every time something went awry. You'd think they were paying for the site and that its glitches were a personal affront to them and them alone. That hasn't changed, unfortunately. They still bit**, moan , groan, complain and with the new changes many if not most have left. They will never be happy here because there will always be glitches that will inconvenience them and heavens knows the world will end when/if they are inconvenienced! :)

Yes the glitches are annoying sometimes but they are fewer and seem less frustrating compared to a few years ago, if I let these glitched get to me I wouldn't be on most sites as they all seem to have them every now and again

I sure hope so BigDaddy. The FWF need to leave immediately the moment there is problem and not come back. The moans and groans that come from some of them would be funny if they weren't so doggone annoying. It is one thing to state what the problem is to be helpful. It is entirely something else to make snide comments, insult AB staff, threaten to leave. Let them leave for goodness sakes. Go find perfection somewhere else..you won't find it here. Let we the die-hard AB users who appreciate what we have here stick it out without complaint. :) ((hugs))
