Help answer this question below.
Being white in America is to belong to the power group. When you are a member of the power group, you have the comfort of accepting, or rejecting "negative" comments form those who are not members of your power group. Imagine, however, you were to live in black Africa, in a black country. There you might well feel uncomfortable if a black comedian were to poke fun at whites. Much of your reaction has to do with your level of personal comfort in your community. This is not a criticism, merely a sociological observation.
Why? Because black ppl are the most racist ppl on earth. Why would you waste your money on someone who doesn't like the color of your skin. They look at us white ppl like all of us owned slaves. My parents came from Italy and Germany, how did they own slaves. That's the problem in America, no one stands up and points this out.
I hope I answered your question.
Because white people can take a joke.
I love Chris Rock; no matter what he says because it is funny! But I was listening to Finesse Williams (SNL) on a standup the other night and I didn't find him funny at all. I wasn't offended by what he said and wanted to see what other people though, but was afraid to bring it up here on a question for fear of being labelled a racist. Which brought me to this post. Isn't that odd?
I do wonder why it is okay for black comedians to poke fun at whites and not the opposite. Of course, Family Guy takes care of all of us don't they! LOL
Yea that's something me and my friends have alot of issues with, how in some places racism has become the complete opposite of what it was before. For example, the Maori's in my country get a lot of grants and free money, easier entry into university, segregated schools and preference heaps of other things.
As for jokes and that, maybe they're considered rascist because there's alot of negative history there? I guess some people would be offended but I presume many wouldn't mind at all, but are hidden by the louder ones.

You're reading I, as a white man, find jokes pointed at white people by black comedians personally hysterical. However, I feel that if a white comedian poked fun at blacks, he would be labeled a racist. Why would that be? I want intelligent explanations, please.

tell taht to the Irish the German and the Italians.. i am so sick of the White Man crap.. during ww2 japanese were rounded up and put in camps.. many Germans and Italians were JUST KILLED>. but oh no never heard that .. oh that doesn't matter right.. Willie Lynch came to the Colony of Virginia to teach slave owners to break slaves will for freedom.. his best student was a Black MAN .. a Black Slave owner who owned 215 Irish slaves.. but you never hear about that right.. Hollywood has feed you a bunch of half truth history.. learn the other half.. start at Malcom X .. after the Hajj.. "There is no such thing as Good Black and Bad White .there is only good and bad Ideas.. i see know that many white people will take up arms with us if it comes to that" guess that is why MLK and Malcom X and JFK and everyone else had to die ..so that you can sit there and spew "White Man" Crap..
