Have you ever quit a job someone else got for you? If so, how did that go?

I've worked at my minimum wage job for seven months but my boss is verbally abusive and the hours are awful. How would I go about quitting?

What should I do if my boss pays me under the $.50 a mile required for travel? (not a mistake) His claim was the rate changed.

You're reading A friend got me a job after being out of work for over a year but it doesn't pay much. Now I have a chance to make more money at another company...should I try to negotiate for better pay with my current job, or give my 2 week notice?

Thanks Mensan! That's a good approach. Do you think I should present him with the offer letter during the negotiation?

NO!
.
Employers don't like that tactic, because they believe that letters can be FAKED, and they will wonder, "Why has he been out looking?"
.
Thanks for the points.
