  • Ahh.. see how we derive some of our questions? We both hopped on that at about the same time i think lol. I have a small diamond in a gold band. It is a replacement of the original because when we were married we could not afford anything but the simplest band for me, and she insisted on upgrading when we were in a better financial position.
  • I would, and I do. I have a platinum band with small melee diamonds encircling the ring. It's heavy for its size.
  • I don't wear jewelry of any kind, based on an unpleasant incident which I have already detailed in another question you asked. +5
  • My husband as "diamond-cut" gold. No stones, but the gold is cut in such a way as to look like there are. He actually wanted tungsten or titanium, but with his line of work that wouldn't be safe.
  • duplicate. please delete
  • No diamonds EVER. the only way I would buy diamonds for my wife is if I was filthy rich... and even then they would be CVD diamonds which had never gone through debeers. and not in the wedding ring. I want tungsten. maybe in the distant future could upgrade to a platinum band of my own design but gold and silver are too soft.
  • I just wear a plain gold band My wife send me out yesterday to sell some of her old gold jewelery~~25 years ago I sent her a gold chain necklace in Japan and also her original wedding ring which we also boght in Tokyo, Japan~~Okara Hotel Mikimotto Jewelery ``but altogether is fetched $105.00 and she was happy with the money and gave me 40 bucks~~~ but my wife has diamond earings, diamond bracelet, and diamond solitare necklace and wedding ring I just like a plain gold ring~~Thank you very much
  • not to fancy silver band
  • I don't like diamonds much...Just a simple band is all I have ever wanted. Smoothed out, no cut edges...a perfect circle if you will.
  • It looks like most guys here want plain but my husband wanted elaborate. Diamonds like crazy and we've got gold. Even the engagement ring he gave me was quite elaborate. I personally would have been fine with a plain band. Looks like my husband is the odd one out here. Then again, he's got 3 or 4 times amount of clothes and twice the amount of shoes than I do and usually, it's the woman with endless amounts of material goods.
  • My husband's original band was ruined while he was working on a machine and they had to cut it off; so I was going to buy him one that he would really like and told him I wanted him to pick it out. He wanted nothing but a simple, thick band. That was it.
  • No ring at all for me. No diamonds, no gold, silver, or platinum for me. I don't wear rings of any sort, including a wedding band. If she wants me, she'll have to take me without a ring.
  • Id go platinum. Just because its kinda different. If they made toungston id take that:) I think original is good. Guys are weird:) Good luck!
  • I prefer a thick, gold band only, with no special stones or cuts. Being a man, I do get dirty with chores and repairs and having diamonds will allow the ring to collect dirt and grease. Make it the smooth edge though, that way it doesnt cut into the finger.
  • A silver band. Or a silver magnetized band. Silver is supposed to have magical and alchemical properties and it would help in my studies of such. Also some scientific studies says it has good effects on health balance along with magnets.
