first the Pot smoker doesn't need Rehabilitation, just the half arsed laws changed to make it legal
as for the child molester the only Rehab he needs is chemical castration as he will never change

Technically, the child molester.
Because IMHO, the weed smoker isn't a criminal.
But, executed rapists of any sort, have a very low rate of recidivism.

I don't think the gov't is equipped to rehab any criminals. Our prison sytem is an utter failure. Whether the crime is something as vile as child molestation, or common as drug charges, our penal system fails to get results.

The cessation rate of a child molester is quite low. They are not easily rehabilitated, if at all.
I used to smoke an oz of weed a week back in the day, but I've been clean for years. It was easy to quite - no withdrawl symptoms or anything of the like, I was just ready.
I don't think it works quite the same way with people whose brains are not wired correctly.

pot smokers can stop if need be but don't want to. a convicted molester / murderer of a 9 year old is probably just as likely to "re-offend" as pot smokers, BUT, who the hell cares if somebody smokes pot? now, looking at rehab rates of rapist / child murderer v other non-addictive offenses, it's definitely rapist / murderers.

The convicted Child molester will be better rehabilitated after he had served his term.
The Pot smoker with 1 pound of weed was probably kept so much of weed with a view to selling the stuff. Brining him back to normal life would be difficult.
How did your congressman/woman vote on the resolution to go to war in Libya? Or wasn't there a vote?
