    1) "A Pregnancy at 20 is Physically Ideal
Physically, the ideal age to get pregnant is between 18 and 20. This is when a woman is most likely to bring her baby to term without any complications. At this time she is physically healthy and fertile. Studies show a woman's fertility begins to decline after the age of 20 and will decline ever more rapidly after 35.

However, a woman must consider other factors. A child is a long-term investment and a woman must be emotionally and financially ready. She should consider whether she can provide the child with a loving, healthy home and a good education. She should also consider how a child will affect her own career, lifestyle, and ambitions."

    2) The age of the father also plays a role!

"Recent research has suggested increased risks for health problems for children of older fathers. A large scale Israeli study found that the children of men 40 or older were 5.75 times more likely than children of men under 30 to have an autism spectrum disorder, controlling for year of birth, socioeconomic status, and maternal age. Increased paternal age has also been correlated to schizophrenia in numerous studies.

The American Fertility Society recommends an age limit for sperm donors of 50 years or less, and many fertility clinics in the United Kingdom will not accept donations from men over 40 or 45 years of age."

the optimum time is at around 16 or 17 when the bones have grown more yet are still flexible. also women haven't developed the routine as thoroughly as say a 35 year old woman has when it comes to their menstrual cycle so it is much easier to become pregnant.

i don't really get what this has to do with homebrewing though...

Its hard to put a number on it. I'd say when they are mature enough to be able to raise that child and keep them healthy as well as financially able to support that child. I had one at 20 and one at 30. It was definitely easier with the 2nd one.

My obtuse answer - when it happens.
Probably over 21, when the body is more ready and under 80. +5

If I had it to do over again, I'd have waited until I was 24 or 25 to have my first child. Not because I regret having my children at such a young age, but I was a much better mother, as I got older.
