I ask them if there was a problem with the service, If there was not i remind them that the service charge is not included in the bill. Some people especially foreigners do not know this.If they have no reason and are just douche bags, I politely request that they do take out next time or choose a new restaurant that does not offer table service because i will not serve them next time they return. Then I try really hard to remember their faces!
Pissed. That customer would get terrible service if they came back.
If I knew I did my best I'd be pissed. I do not tip a lousy wait person, why should anyone pay for lousy service. Good work deserves a good tip, lousy work, no tip.
I would figure that they were absent-minded. Iwold know that I am a very good waitress, as I am in all parts of my life--ask my kids and husband, and before that any one of several boyfriends. Also my bosses in the sewing industry. --
So, in short, I wouldn't be upset.
i would feel i didnt do a good enough job to get a tip ,to many people tip and dont concider the service now servers expect it.i seen a tip jar at subway last week,,,,,come on!
It's okay I wouldn't mind since its an option. It's not like it's mandatory. But If I was in the position of being the customer I would definitely tip for the great service.
Tipping is not normal practice in my country so it would not bother me.
If the said waitress did a great job, then she might consider this, maybe they don't make a lot of money and dinning out is an actual treat for them and instead of them giving you chump change(which is all they can afford) and possibly feeling embarassed they forgo the tip, or they are just a strait up ass.
Like they are inconsiderate selfish assholes!! haha can you tell I live on tips:)
I would re-evaluate my style of serving. Tips are earned an entitlement.
how did you treat them? if you trated them with kindness and respect yeah i would be mad
I would wonder, what is wrong with them, that they would intentionally do that to someone who depends on their tips for a living, because I know I gave them great service.
They probably very seldom, if ever, tip. Some people do not as a means of trying to tell the restaurant industry that they need to pay the staff decent wages instead of having they rely on tips. The problem is that they don't ban together and really make their attitude known.
