idk about you but in terms of gore...Wolf Creek. It may not be that scary but the fact that its based on a true story makes it a bit scarier.

It depends on each individual person. What scares one person may be competely bland to another person.
-- and having been in Answerbag for a while, there is even a segment of people who profess to never being scared by any movie ever, at all .
But, for me, I know no movie has scared me for more of my life than
1968 " Night of the Living Dead "

Woolf Creek is creepy as hell. There is not even that much gore in it (though the few bits are very... sickening) but the whole realistic atmosphere is just very scary. Impressive movie, good answer :)
