Why do you need to "convince" her of anything?
YOU are the head of your household, so just go ahead and get the Plasma TV, and be done with it.
You're the King in your own castle, aren't you?
Well, aren't you?
+5
why would you want a plasma? They are gonna go the way of the Dodo. LCD's use less power, don't have burnout, are more durable, lighter, cheaper and have a better picture for gaming as well as most current models being up to par with Plasmas as far as blacker blacks, mostion blur and viewing angle go. Plasmas I've seen really don't have that much better a picture, at least not enough for me to buy something that is slowly but surely slipping out of existence?
I have a 47'' samsung LCD. It is beautiful!
unless you are watching a bluray the plasma will not have a better picture, plasma takes almost 4x the power to run & has 1/10 the lifespan of a crt set - But they do look cool hanging on the wall
Run the sony till it dies, by then the panels will have dropped in price anyway
Why plasma? The advantages of plasma are fading fast - LCD will soon overtake.
