Sounds like a good idea to me - stopping, that is. Seems like you're hurting each other out of . . . dunno, boredom first, then anger. At the end of the line, you don't want to hurt, and you don't want to hurt someone you love. Talk it out, share your feelings. There are great books on communicating in relationships, get one and work through it together.
