I believe everyody in the world should have guns. Citizens should have bazookas and rocket launchers too. I believe that all citizens should have their weapons of choice. However, I also believe that only I should have the ammunition. Because frankly, I wouldn't trust the rest of the goobers with anything more dangerous than string.

Yes. We should have enough fire power to over throw the government if we need to. That is our duty as American citizens.

people think the right to bear arms is purely about self defense. if this were the case semiautomatic would be all that should be available.

however america had just won it's independance by a peasant war. the founding fathers knew full well that the populace needed the power to rise up against an unfit government if they so choose.
The right to bear arms must be garaunteed for the purpose of preventing our government from being impervious to us. should the people realise the government no longer represents us and decide to replace it they must have the power to evict a government who resists.
tactics can help neutralize vehicles... but even a single modern batalion could wipe out an army of 200,000,000 if their weaponry is limited to muzzle loader technology.
not all weaponry should be readily available fully automatic should not be available retail... but the ability to upgrade some retail weapons to fully automatic is justifiable. private citizens having your guns in a fully automatic condition should be illegal, however if society colapses we will need the ability to do the upgrade yourself. as the first thing that would happen is weapons would no longer be available to purchase by order of the government in need of being overthrown.

I hope this purpose is never realized but see it as a possibility within my lifetime because our nation is falling deeper and deeper into economic_slavery/aristocracy. by the time such a revolution occurs it would be too late to arm the nation as the government would lock down the production and distribution of weaponry.

All this said I do not personaly own a fire arm yet and doubt I will ever own more than one side arm and one rifle which are manufactured... however I do intend to make a spudzooka (really big potato gun) and may one day build future tech weapons like a rail gun

I believe that any personal weapon is clearly the province of any American adult. These include pistols, rifles, shotguns and fully automatic weapon. They also include sawed-off shotguns. Sorry, but you'll notice there's not spot in the Constitution for prohibiting one 'arm' over another.
    .
I'm not really in a mood to debate grenades, bombs and doomsday devices. I'll leave that for someone else to make the case.
    .
But when our Constitution was written they meant what they said. All citizens were allowed the very same arms as the government because the assumption was that there should be parity.

Yes. Even sawed off shotguns. It seems that firearms are considered for women. Since women have less strength usually, I believe every woman should have instruction in firearms and use them in any situation where a man uses his muscle to overcome her in any circumstance, except where she enjoys it. +5

Only those logical usable for peaceful and protective measures. Weapons for war should be only owned by peacekeeping organizations and peaceful governments.

Yes, anything that anyone may have to use, I should be able to obtain also for protection.

How are you going to protect your family against an automatic with a single shot. You may as well have a sling shot.

Every restriction, background check, and law against any kind of gun is unconstitutional. Even those little signs in front of restaurants not permitting guns inside, violate your our freedoms.

No. Civilians don't need military grade weapons.
