G'day Barcaluv69,

Thank you for your question.

1979 is my favourite song by the Smashing Pumpkins given that I left school in 1979. Others worthy of note are Today, Disarm, Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Zero, Tonight Tonight, The End is the Beginning is the End, Ava Adore and the Everlasting Gaze.

It will be interesting to see what the new lineup comes up with talk that they will be releasing an album mid-year.

Well, I'm an SP fanatic, so it's hard to pin one down. I suppose I'd say "The Aeroplane Flies High (Turns Left, Looks Right)" is the one. It's only one riff repeated over and over, but it's given the clean-then-distorted treatment to a beautifully violent extent. And the solo really isn't anything special melodically, but its tone and simplicity keep me turning up the volume every time.

Plug: SP album "Zeitgeist" to be released 7-7-2007.

bullet with butterfly wings. they remind me of when i was little and we lived in qld... mum always had smashing pumpkins playing in the car.

I like the songs Drown, Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Zero, 1979, Today, Hummer,Geek USA, and Siva. I have some of their CDs including Siamese Dream, Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Gish, Greatest Hits, and Pisces Iscariot.

My favourite song ever (any band) is Porcelina. I also really love Thru the eyes of Ruby, Soma, Rhinoceros, Mayonaise, To Shelia... the list goes on.

I'm the biggest pumpkinhead ever. My Dog's name was Corgan, and I got the SP in the heart tattooed on my arm.
