If a dust cap on a sub is a part of the acoustic display as with my friends sub, is it possible that a dented dust cap can affect sound quality?

    At high volumes you will hear a unclean distorted sound, it should'nt make a big diffrence at lower volumes, depends on the size of the dent. You will notice a diffrence from a dented and non dented speaker.

    You could try and get it fixed, I hoovered mine and it poped out seems to work fine now but i don't know if it works for everyone.
