What happened to my PS3?

I want to connect my pc screen to my PS3 but it only has a D-sub connector. I tried using a D-sub to VGI but it didn't work. Any advice?

My Playstation disc drive will not work. There is nothing in the disc drive and when I try to put a disc in, It will not grap the disc.

You're reading I had my ps3 linked up to my HD tv but i dont have a HD tv anymore and i cant get a picture to come up on a standard tv through the av channel, can anyone tell me why?
