I have never owned a high line watch, but I've had two Fossil watches at about $100 that were great for the price. One is older than my son (18) and still going.

A baby-G. I had 1 that lasted me 3 years.

Timex Ironman or G-shock. From $40-$80 might have to replace the wristband half-way thru it's life.

As long as you are not hitting the watch in your line of work I would go with a watch in the $100-$200 range. I have a Citizen Eco-Drive that never needs batteries, is accurate to about 2 seconds a week, has an alarm, a second time zone, and a perpetual calendar. It was under $200 on a cruise ship. ₪ ɦəlʞɹÉq ₪
