Very, very luckily,I'm in a job (20 years) so I would tell them to take a running jump BUT I don't know what it's like to NOT have a job but I think I would jump through any hoops to get a good job, especially in todays ecanomic climate
Call the manager of the department and explain the situation. Ask what s/he will do to make sure no more of your time is wasted.
As someone who is unemployed I would jump at the chance for a job...Whatever it takes +5

Its frustrating, but if you want the job, keep going. I would place a call with your new manager and explain the situation calmly and without whining and ask if there was anything they could do to expedite the process. For all you know it could be a test . . . . companies are getting more and more creative when figuring out who will get the job.

You're reading I got hired with a major co., they askd me to cme in 2 fill out paperwork & get fingerprinted, then said they were backed up, asked us to come nxt day & I hd to wait 3 hours, they cld next day&said cme bck, prints didnt take. Wld you go back? Im fed up!
