Aisle - more headroom, and you can stretch your legs out when the beverage cart isn't in service.

I always insisted on the aisle. I don't like disturbing anyone in the event I need to go to the head...or go chat up the folks in the galley. :-)

I like the aisle. I like to stretch my legs, you get a little more room, if I need to get out I can and don't have to climb over everyone. And I'm claustrophobic so I like that escape plan ready. :-) +3 for a good question.
