Republicans have asked to the Senate to slow down on health care reform - when is slow and deliberate a polite way of saying stone walling? Have they even attempted to present a bill?

i believe that a good, comprehensive health care plan that provides coverage for all americans, improves quality, reduces costs ought to be the objective of this program. we blindly pushed through a war in iraq over night and look at what happened. i think thoughtfulness is warranted, especially when we are talking about 100's of thousands of lives each year AND 20 times more in spending than we're spending on the war in iraq and afghanistan. that said, republicans do sure look like they're slowing down this bill. if they tendered a real, good, thoughtful alternative, that would probably merit slowing down the process. they're not. the democrats' plans are not adequate either, in my mind.
