Ps3 turns on but does not go to menu... i did briefly but screen went crazy as soon as i put in a ps3 game and nothing else happened. could not get it to reset

I want to connect my pc screen to my PS3 but it only has a D-sub connector. I tried using a D-sub to VGI but it didn't work. Any advice?

Troubleshooting PS3 issues. My PS3 was working fine. Played same game 3 times. Went to play 4th game, nothing is happening. Can't even get into the game menu. One thing I do recall doing was deleting game information. Did that clear my game disc?
