No, they don't You can find many witches who are Catholic (most of those in Latin America and Mexico are). Wicca, on the other hand, is a modern Religion that takes some of the nicer aspects of Witchcraft (All the good, none of the dead goats and needles in dove hearts), and combines it with a modern take on an amalgamism of old European (mostly Celtic... kind of) faiths.

Basically, Wicca is just a modern neo-Pagan faith, while witchcraft is really just sorcery, with a more grass roots bent than, say Enochian High Magic or Thelema.

I agree with Sidhedarkness, but would like add the distinction witchcraft is a practice, while pagan is a religion, I know catholics who dabble in witchcraft and Pagans who won't touch the stuff.

Paganism is an umbrella term that covers a bunch of different religions, such as Wicca. Also included would be Asatru/Heathenry, Religio Romana, Druidry, and Hellenismos. You could say that Paganism is a catch all term for European non-Christian (and generally polytheistic) religions.

Paganism is an unstructured religion ie: there is no set of rules and no official 'gods'. Some beleive in the God and Goddess, others prescribe just to the Goddess and various others. In this sense it is not a religion but a belief system. Witchcraft is associated with Paganism because they both regard nature as the 'Divine' and use/ worship the same elements and symbols. That said, craft and beleif are exclusive from each other. Wicca is form of witchcraft loosely derived from certain reverances to nature as in Paganism but concentrates solely on the 'craft', and does not necassarily adhere to the 'beleif'.
