Help answer this question below.
they really eat a lot of food, too. (HA!!) i'd think that 1/4 cost might be reasonable for 2 year olds. i'd be too chicken to take a 2 year old on a cruise, though.
I would hope you would not have to pay
I am going on a cuise in 46 days. This is my first cruise and my first airplane ride to get to port. Any suggestions?

A Russian luxury yacht company is now offering pirate-hunting trips that promise the chance to be attacked by real sea bandits. (See link) Who's up for this type of cruise?

You're reading Should one expect to pay a full ticket price for an under-2-year-old when going on a cruise? Does the toddler count toward the room occupancy?

Well, I'm not asking what's reasonable... I'm asking what is reality.
Unfortunately, all the major cruise lines have huge sections of their websites devoted to the wonderful childrens' programs available aboard-ship, but not a single word about the actual cost of bringing the child aboard.

dear LADY. your question wasn't what is reality. your question was, "should one expect" ... if you wanted to know precisely what cruise lines charge, call the bloody lines up and ask them and don't waste our time!

Okay, this isn't exactly the type of question one asks hypothetically. "Should one expect..." does indeed imply reality, as one wouldn't expect to pay what ANYONE "thinks is reasonable". I would hope not to pay ANYTHING for a child that isn't going to eat the ship's food, nor is allowed to use most or all of the ship's facilities. However, the real world doesn't work that way. I sought information from the cruise line's websites, and did not see it. Thus, I turned to AB's knowledgeable user base, as I'm not so far yet in planning stages that I'm willing to listen to a travel agent's sales pitches.
Pardon me if that offends you.
