Help answer this question below.

I'm looking to buy a dress form for sewing. I need to find a dressform that is adjustable but fits a women's size 8 (bust-31 1/2 inches, waist 24 inches, and hip 33 1/2 inches) does anyone have any ideas where I could find such a dressform?

    Hello. I make formal wear for my Granddaughter who is on Broadway. Since she is petite I finally found one at my local, small fabric shop. The company name on it is called "My Double", but is is adjustable. I found that even when using the dials to adjust the measurement, I find it more accurate to measure each area and adjust the form that way to her measurements. Most times she is not home but in New York so I cannot try it one her. Best wishes, Kathleen

    Will you need to adjust the measurements beyond those you mentioned? The best "dial" adjustable form on the market is the Dritz My Double Deluxe. It's a bit flimsy, but all of that style are lightweight. If you know you're always going to sew that same size, I'd recommend getting a foam core Uniquely You dummy in the small size. Then you tailor the fabric cover to your exact measurements and put it on the dummy. The foam molds to the size of the cover.
