How are you connected to your Sound/TV system?
Have you tried plugging into adifferent system to remove the possibility that it is not a fault with the Xbox?
Do the graphics freeze at the same time as the sound cuts out?
Does it happen all the time or just in games, playing movies, or playing MP3s
What is your preferred First - Person - Shooter on the Xbox 360. (Remember to respect other peoples opinions).

i use the hdmi cable, the picture doesn't break up just the sound
