Thank you for enlightening me. + 5
OH WOW!!! NO, i didn't know that, or even realize that. That is absolutely incredible, if it was up to me, we could do that, cause i don't ever receive the paper, or ever buy one. A paper is definitely something that i can live without.. But wow, 500,000 trees, that's amazing.
The question is almost moot. In the past few years the internet has put many major Newspapers out of business. Because of tree huggers keeping forests from being farmed has created a wealth of undergrowth and tinder from dead plant life that builds up and creates fuel for potential fires that if ignited burn hotter and destroy more acreage that farming would help control.
That does seem like a tragedy when stated in those terms. Thanks Sharona. :)
Nope, but then we'd just use them to build 1000 overpriced carboard boxes anyway..
Most trees are a completely renewable resource. I'm all in favor of recycling for a number of trees but saving the trees from which most paper is made is like saving wheat.

You're reading Are you aware if we recycle just the Sunday paper, that we can save over 500,000 trees every week?

One positive thing about the internet for sure. No paper at all. Thanks.
