  • he is just interested in explosives, i used to be as well as a kid, you need to have a sit down with him and let him know depending on his age how dangerous these things can be. This is not uncommon.

  • Find out what time Mythbusters was on. Alternatively, help your son with his school project about the army/air force/navy. Nurture his interests in explosives by buying some fireworks and set them off together. What else would you do?????

  • review some of the sites he visited to make sure he was getting accurate information. Then explain to him the necessity of observing proper safety proceedures when handling dangerous materials. Remind him, always double fuse to ensure proper detonation, nothing more dangerous than unexploded ordnance.
  • Might be healthy curiosity... I look up stuff like that fairly often... high exlposives, info on nuclear fuel, reactors, guarding of fissionable material, etc. I think what really matters is whether or not the kid has a healthy emotional life. Is he happy? Does he have friends? How's his school work? Is he hanging out with kids that are getting into a lot of trouble?
