An absessed tooth requires a dentist's immediate attention. You will need antibiotics for usually two week before they can do any kind of procedure on it. If you cannot get to the dentist right away you might want to try putting some ice on it and taking something like Advil to ease the pain. You may also try some of the toothache remedies that they sell over the counter but I never got much relief from any of them. Please see your dentist as soon as you can!
