Sometimes the answers I get from AB members to my questions delight me. They are very thoughtful and give me insight into things I hadn't even considered. How often are you delighted with the responses you receive to your questions?

Very often, Rosie, although I do not ask in the "Deep Thoughts" category very frequently! You and many others have provided insight into issues that I never would have considered. One of my favorite surprises was from a college student who completely misunderstood my serious question - apparently the sequence of words I used is the name of an actual video game! Answerbag is always educational for me, and I meet people I otherwise wouldn't converse with, and learn about issues and viewpoints I didn't know existed! :-)

- Rosie, I must mention that it is not just answers to my questions that teach me. I also learn from other people's questions. And yours are some of the best! You often ask very thought-provoking Q's and whether or not I have an answer, I learn just by considering them and reading other people's responses. Yes, a lot of the time I am thrilled at the answers I get (when I DO actually ask serious questions). There are so many angles to each question, and I love just looking at the answers. Another thing I like is to see heartfelt yet upbeat questions, like this one, that can just make your day. Thanks Rosie!

- Me too. That's why I created the RosieG Gold Star Award. I give it to the first person on AB who causes me to laugh out loud each day. In times past I gave it out daily...there were some days when there were many who deserved it. Of late I give it sporadically. I guess there isn't so much to laugh about these days. Unfortunately I don't seem to ask questions which bring out thought provoking responses like you do Rosie. So responses to my questions don't really offer much insight I am afraid but they are always delightful in one way or another (ecept for one word answers). I need to learn more from you so keep posting them. The truth is we all learn from each other if we choose to. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

I never sit down and try to think of questions..for me it doesn't work that way. They just show up when they're ready and demand being released! I agree Rosie this forum is a place to learn and exchange information. I like to hear everyones perspective and make up my mind after I have all the facts. It is my hope that this site will encourage more people to do the same.
