Yes. A tag of a base is defined as the act of a fielder touching a base with his body while holding the ball securely and firmly in his hand or glove. The fielder may touch the base with any part of his body while holding the ball in his hand or glove to record a force out. Tagging the base with the throwing hand while holding the ball in the glove is no different than tagging the base with his foot while holding the ball in his glove or hand.
