Start a blog perfabably with Word press.

Build back links up from other sites

Write articles and submit them to article sites.

Submit to directory's perfabably ones with your niche.

Ensure your keywords, title and description are optmized so google picks them up.

Just type how to get my site to the top of google into google and loads of advice will come up.

Well I happen to be building a website too.

So I can tell you that if you want a reaction period then add a blog and talk about something of popularity and when you do state your side almost obsessively.

A creative design always works too,people are sick of seeing generic glossed two tone themes or default themes that come with the builder your using.

Have a search engine that just searches the content with in your site and make sure it works ;)

Try and rid of as many out of site ads as possible and don't over advertise your site or else people might avoid it.

If you must have ads on your site to support it categorize them dont let any porn sites,mmorpg/game sites,IM sites,teen hang out sites or webfetti sites show up in your ads unless their meant too.

i have the same question, and i think, to make a website more popular, you should advertise. pick a unique logo, interesting posts, and make sure to send things about your site, to article sites and such.

Fix the website up for a start. The main banner looks of pretty average quality. Your testimonial section needs alot of improvement design wise. It also needs testimonials to give you that bit more crediblity.

It's hard work marketing and optimizing a website or blog for free, but if you're determined to make your site popular, you'll do the hard work. Also always make sure there is something - or quite a lot of it - that is helpful to your viewers when they land there. People, in particular businesses or students, are primarily using the Internet to search for more information about a subject.

I would complete your website first and focus on displaying samples of what you are offering. People generally do not want to read too much, initially - they want to 'see' what you can do. Your homepage is very important. That's where people will decide whether they want to explore the rest of your site or leave. Make sure you check out your site from many different computers and see if it loads quickly, if the texts/graphics are visible through various sizes of monitors - various versions of Windows. And then you can start advertising on popular search engines and other websites by exchanging links. You may want to advertise why people should choose YOU to serve them. Also, visit other websites that are your competition. You can do all of this for free. Good luck.
