If you have a card reader.
Some come from the factory with one. Others require buying and installing a card reader though, so most people just get an external card reader that plugs into their USB port.
Are you talking RAM when you say memory card? Or a memory card like what you use in devices like cameras and such?
RAM: Yes. Just find the type of RAM that your model uses and install it.
Memory cards like from cameras: If your particular model has a card reader built into it, you simply plug the card in the matching slot. Then use My Computer or Explorer to view it's contents.
If your computer doesn't have a built in card reader, you can buy one someplace like Best Buy, or online at New Egg or Tiger Direct.
These are devices which connect by USB cord to the computer. Then simply plug the memory card into it and check the contents like I described above.
