Question

Help answer this question below.

Hi, I have a 3 year old boxer dog. We take her for daily runs and walks. When she is off the lead, she sprints off and runs around with no problem. However later on, once home her back legs become very stiff. She struggles to stand and hobbles. Any ideas?

Thanks. I was going to take her to the vet anyway, just curious on others thoughts. No, she has definitely not been abused!!

My idea is to seek professional medical advice. I.e. bring your pup to the vet.

(I assume there is no way someone could be regularly abusing your dog without your knowing it?)

Get your vet to run a thyroid panel. Hypothyroidism is pretty common in Boxers and would account for some of her sysmptoms.
