  • If you don't complain about ANY and ALL irregularities, "they" will assume that all is correct. A guy in San Francisco had the opposite problem with PacBell, in that they owed him $17, and his repeated attempts to collect it were fruitless. Out of desperation, he hired an attorney, who attached a LIEN on their headquarters building in SFO, which was valued at several million dollars, and announced (via his attorney) that the building would be sold at auction to cover the debt owed to him. PacBell, fearful that he might succeed, quickly settled (with interest) and also paid the guy's attorney, plus all related court costs and fees. All of that, because they wouldn't pay a $17 bill, when it was properly presented to them. +5
