Help answer this question below.

I have a 60" philips rear projection tv that is about 4 years old. Model number 60PL9200D/37 and the input is cable(AT&T U-Verse). The picture goes black and I lose the sound for about 30-60 sec. When the picture and sound come back the mute icon appears.

    does this ever happen with a vcr or dvd?? sounds like either you are having problems with the SSB really common in this model (and no longer available) or digital dropout will do this as well. most people on ATT service use a digital cable box, if you use a HDMI cable try running through a set of componet video cables as HDMI can cause it's own problems
