    Well to raise your pH go to a local petstore and purchase a pH up kit. Most fish are comfortable with your pH being neutral. You need to be doing a 15% water change every 2 weeks. Cloudy water is usually caused by high ammounts of ammonia. Go to local petstore and get a ammonia test kit. If your ammonia level is above 0 do more frequent water changes and use an ammonia detoxifier. This will not lower the ammount of ammonia it will just detoxifie it.

    Hello;

    Old aquarium water becomes acidic and high in DOCs' "disolved organic compounds" and must be changed.

    Just change some of the water by siphon vacuuming the gravel bed.

    The new water will raise your PH and the foam will go away. Check your filters --- undergravel -- clean by siphon vacuuming.
