I think it's the same reason why women grab the bedsheets for dear life when they're having great sex. Sexual excitement encourages your muscles to tense up, e.g. you want to grab things with your hands. Why we unleash this urge on the woman's head, I'm not sure. Perhaps because she is the source of the desire, and we're trying to "hold on" to her (and by extension, the pleasure itself)

Some people may think it's corny to ask, but I wouldn't imagine doing it withOUT asking.
