Help answer this question below.

Anyone have a idea on how to get rid of spiders, out of a house? And before anyone comes up with the funny/hot answer. I have no plans on burning the house down.....LOL.

The best way to control spiders, which prey on other insects, is to find out what's keeping them alive and deal with that, along with agitating all their favorite hiding places twice a week. If living there is harder than moving out, they move out. Serves them right for not paying rent! *fist shake*

Buy some guineas FYI - (type of fowl, they look like clowns.) They're great watchdogs(birds), eat insects, snakes, etc. If there is new construction going on near you, you're in for a battle...keep an eye out for scorpions also. Steamcleaners like you see for killing mold/mildow/sanitizing, also work wonders.

- That they are. But you would not believe the answer I got here just now, when I punched it up on Wiki & on the Free Dictionary....LOL.......So I had to google it up on Google Images. Just to show others out here what we are talking/typing about here. Never know!!!! Some out here may of gotten the wrong idea now days. If anyone did. well apart from the obvious of getting the house fumigated or 'sprayed', on the ceilings etc, I doubt there is another way. Im not much of a one for sprays and pessticides, but if the spiders are a big problem, then maybe it needs to be done......

- Thanks Kiwi girl. I've tryed just about everything sofar, even those pesticides. But still seem to be, no luck getting rid of them all this year. Its the most I've seen around here for 50 plus years..Kind of hard to sleep at night, when you feel one going across your face. I gave myself a bloody nose the other night....That's way I came in here and ask this question......Plus 6 for your answer.

- ohhh, I really dont like spiders much either, and at night I doubt that I could sleep comfortable, we dont even have big ones in NZ.............. on a slightly ' out there ' side, you could maybe contact the arch angels, or ask the universe to find new homes for the spiders that are currently residing in your home, say to the universe, and the angels, that you require the spiders to move house, that its really putting you out of sorts, try that for a few days and see what happens..........

You could set some bombs off in all of the rooms and put 1 upstairs and leave the stairway doors open so that some of the bomb stuff goes there. If you set bombs off, stay out of the house for a day. You could also send all of the spider families an eviction notice... :) And now some spider info: If spiders are in a corner of walls, they are OK to have around. If they are in the middle of a wall they are not OK to have around. I really don't like the big ones with a stripe on their back. Don't know what kind they are (maybe a poisenous brown recluse?) but they are icky, especially when I find them on a wall behind my bed just above where lay my head. They are not a good spider to have around. Seems like I see them after my grass is cut.

- Glad you liked my spider trivea. Maybe you could just make friends with them! LOL! I really like to see the big spider webs and it's OK to see the spider too. LOL! Thank ya so much for the + and let me know how the spider situation goes...just don't bring them to my house and turn them loose in my grass when you cut it....LOL!

Spiders! Shudder!!

There is a device you can buy that somehow drives out all manner of pests with sound waves (not sure about that). My sister (who also hates spiders) bought one to use in her appartment some years ago. It did the trick...unfortunately, what the product doesn't warn you about is that all of these creepy-crawlies come out of the walls and into the room before they exit. It was not a fun time for her...I thought it was hilarious, but I'll never use one myself.
