On an American League team, can that game's pitcher be the DH. And if so, when he is pulled from the mound can he then remain in the game as DH.

    No. Under American League rules, if the pitcher bats for himself, there is no DH for the game.

    NCAA rules are the only major rule set that allows the pitcher to be listed as both the pitcher and the DH.
