  • I assume that you mean a train crossing. I never position myself in such a manner that if my car stalled it would stop on the tracks. If there isn't room to cross the tracks completely, I don't go until there is. Once I am crossing, if the car stalls, it's a simple matter of coasting the rest of the way over. This should be the rule for every one, but I often see people who will stop in traffic on rail road tracks rather than waiting until there's room on the other side.
