I think of all of the people who condemn blind hatred then proceed to blindly hate us for being born here. I think of how lucky I am that I was born here. I think about diversity, the countryside's beauty, the delicious southern cooking, etc. I think of the ignorance and stuff sometimes too, but that's a part and not the whole.

I think of a country that has allowed people to enter its borders and abuse its system. I think of a country that allows its citizens and its non-citizens to speak their mind and be dis-respectful to it. I think of a country that was amazing, but it let too many people abuse it.

I still think America is awesome, which is why I live here. When the day comes that I don't feel this country is right for me, I will leave.

I think of my ancestors and others who fought in the American Revolution, the Civil War, the War of 1812, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and now Iraq. I think of American pride. And when I hear our anthem, I feel so much pride I could burst.

BTW - I am an American, I am not lazy and I am not fat. I workout daily, I eat healthy, I work hard, my house is spotless, I donate time and money to worthy causes, I play with my children, I teach them values, I go to church, and I vote.

Ender is back.. And slightly confused.

I think of a diverse culture that, at one point in time, had the backbone to stand up against tyranny and put the rights of the people before the rights of those who wanted to impose improper restraints and money-gathering practices.

Ok America is diverse, but Americans do often think of this country as being uniquely diverse and view all other nations as just being homogenous. This is generally caused by the notion that we Americans prefer to accept immigrants from more poor and homogenous countries like China and the Koreas. I have a friend from southern Russia and has had much dealing with citizenship. It is normal, it's propaganda: what all countries do to help enforce how they wish to portray other countries.

I think of how we feed 70% of the world. How all free democracies in the world have the USA to thank for that. I think about how people from other countries that the USA has helped stay free don't think twice about bad mouthing the US. I think we should pull our troops out of anywhere, bring them home, and close the borders tight, then say "OK world, fend for yourself!"

You know who the first would be screaming for help?

    Yeah, that's them
