The only thing I would look for on buying RepoFinder cars is a CARFAX report and service records. As far as legality it's no different than buying from any other private seller.
Can the VIN number reveal owner history?

You're reading I'm searching for a repossessed car to buy. I've found one on repofinder.com at a local Credit Union but they didn't seem to know much about it. Is there anything legally I should be careful of in buying a repo?
