Nope Mommy makes the man learn manners at a young age +5
sort of...
for instance, some cold-blooded killers have been extremely personable, polite and mannerly, when they need to be, but have been evil incarnate when under the radar of society.
manners AND morals, maketh the man, methinks <wink>
Hardly. Raymond Clark had very nice manners yesterday at his arraignment.
Yes :D Gentlemen are sexy.
Many are ill-mannered either because they are ignorant of what is proper/expected or because they don't care. If someone doesn't have great table manners for example..isn't sure what fork to use for which course, that isn't a big deal to me. But if someone is vulgar/insulting/rude/threatening that is not okay and the impression I get is very negative and I avoid such person in the future. Some people think it is bad manners or "not done" to wear white after Labor Day. I kinda think that is ridiculous. But then, that's just me! Happy Tuesday! :)
I think manners maketh the 'gentleman'
No, but I think that they are really important.
definitely not important enough to be all that...
.
it's a good quality to have, but there are many i'd judge much more important
No, character and integrity "maketh" man.
No, but they definitely contribute a lot in spreading positivity.
correct , but it is the manners of others he was raised with and raised by that make him , not his own manners .... his just make your impression of him.
I sort of see good manners as being very nice wrapping paper with a pretty bow.
It is what you find IN the box that is the truest measure of a man or woman.
You can have impeccable manners, yet be stingy in spirit!
A person who is kind, not because of how they want to appear, but because in their heart being kind brings them great joy...they don't even let on to others what generous and thoughtful things they do, because they are not looking for attention or praise...yet act out of a desire to help others in many small or even large ways..without seeking praise...
THAT..to me is the true making of a HUMAN BEING.
RESPECT maketh a 'lil man' into a 'big man'...
'a child without respect is uncivilized'..but thatsJustme...
yu shovunistik swine!!!... yu dunn giv-a-fukk abt wemen... du yu???... al yu r bothrd uf iz 'men'... :-|...

Hold open the car door, say excuse me when you make bodily noises, pay for everything, things like that, and you are well on your way to winning a heart :)
They make the gentleman.
