I saw a Japanese show, maybe on HBO 10 years ago, when they had this and it was really sick. It was all for the men, how quickly the women could jerk them off in different positions. It still grosses me out how the women were used. +5
Yes I would watch. It would make the Olympics worth watching! As for taking part, I would do that from afar. And better than the Olympics!
Yes I would watch and yes I would try out. I am unique in that department, nothing too extreme in the size department but I can go from flacid to erect in seconds, can almost squirt on command and can go for hours without squirting. I am also a multiple cummer and can be ready again after about 15-20 min after I cumm the first 2 or 3 times and can do that for hours and hours and hours. I also have large loads and squirt far, so what are the tests for the try out?
Oh Yes... I would definately watch and participate!
I think that a separate Olympics may be in order for this. Sure, I'd try out the cunnilingus event. +2
Heehehe yes I would watch it....you should propose it to the Olympic Games Council....maybe we'll see some action on tv this year hehe.....oh and yes I would get in one of the teams lol.
I would watch the team sporting events like Bukkake. +3
I would have to go out for the muff diving event.
I would definitely tryout but people might confuse me with the "Pole Vault" competition.........
Dunno
No

You're reading How come SEX isn't an event at the Olympic Games? Would you watch, if it was? Would you "try out" for the team?

They may NOT have been "used," if they were paid to compete, or if there was a "grand prize" for the winner.

+6 for answering.

It was so gross, they were used. I don't care how much they got. It was completely demeaning.
by dancer on September 15th, 2009
Demeaning exists only in the mind of the person being demeaned, IF that person feels that way.
.
Otherwise, as some other folks believe, it would be "demeaning" to be a black person. Is it?
by Anonymous on September 15th, 2009
No, there are things that humans should not do. I saw a Jerry Springer show, and you know how anything is acceptable, if anything would be on that show. Well, they had dominatrix as the title. One brought in a man with a leash and collar and made him do all kinds of stupid things. Even Jerry had enough and said to take the collar off and let the guy sit. The women I saw were in a race to make these men come. They were naked and had to be subservient in every way. It was so gross, it was worse than the Jerry show. There are some things we do not make people do. What if Hitler paid large amounts of money to the people he tortured and they said anything was worth the price? That is how I felt watching this. Demeaning is not only in the mind, it is how we treat other people with dignity. I believe the same for jerk-off mags, although not as serious.
by dancer on September 15th, 2009
I understand what you're saying, but there is something you need to know (and understand) about Jerry Springer: Many folks have come forward to report that some of the people appearing on his show are PROFESSIONAL ACTORS, who are being paid to pretend to be a "jilted lover" or a "dumped on" girlfriend (or whatever) and the so-called "fights" (broken up by "Steve" and other security guys) are nothing more than scripted, staged and choreographed events, done strictly for their "shock value."
.
Jerry isn't the first idiot to do that, either.
.
Several years ago, there was a very talented and clever guy who did all kinds of outrageous things, and got the majority of the populace to believe that what he was doing, was genuine. Only after he died (from lung cancer in 1984), was the public clued-in to his many hoaxes.
.
His name was ANDY KAUFMAN. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Kaufman
.
I maintain that a person cannot be demeaned in their OWN eyes, if they choose not to be.
by Anonymous on September 15th, 2009
I know that about the Springer show and about Kaufman especially on SNL. We'll have to differ here because there are certain things we can do to demean another person. Just because a person is really into the ladies and sex, doesn't mean that certain things are not demeaning. If we did the same to men, it would be demeaning. Playgirl doesn't count because it does not expose men like Playgirl does. For the many women who want to have sex with that corpse, Hefner, is demeaning. Fame and money do not make up for exploiting low self-esteem.

Columnist Abigail Van Buren and her late twin sister, Ann Landers, both maintained (as I do, in agreement with them) that, quoting them, "No one can 'take advantage' of you, without your consent." I would respectfully suggest that the words "take advantage of" could be replaced with the single word "demean," and the sentence would still be correct.
.
We do agree that the things you have described are indeed demeaning. But, they are not being interpreted in that way by the ones doing them, and that's my point. What truly matters, is how the individual feels about himself or herself, and not how OTHERS view them.
.
For example, I know that others who look at me may view me as fat and ugly. But, I don't view myself in that way, so I don't feel bad inside, because the only person I have to please, is me. I'm not bothered by what others may think of me, because their approval is not necessary for my own happiness.

Okay, I will concede that our own impression of ourselves means the most. I will say that exploiting would also be demeaning another. To ridicule a MR child would be demeaning, true? But the child may laugh or not even catch on. I think there is an abusive nature in anyone who exploits, demeans, takes advantage of another. I disagree with Abigal and Ann because many people have been taken advantage of because of lack of street smarts, intelligence, etc., just like the rich did with that latest joker. An AIDs carrier who has sex indiscriminately, and even if the women wanted it, did not want AIDs because they did not check further. Women who need Playboy, are prostitutes, have sex with the corpse are being demeaned and used because of their low self-esteem, need for money and fame. Still disagree?
by dancer on September 15th, 2009
Yes, definitely. Because if I accept your contention that posing for PLAYBOY® is "demeaning," then it naturally follows that the folks who posed for THESE pieces of artwork, were ALSO "demeaned," and are likewise, "Prostitutes":

Shall we go together to the above places, with hammers, chisels and jackhammers, to smash the above "demeaning" things to dust?

No,I'm an artist and I do a lot of nude work. Our models are nude. I have nude sculpture and a website I am setting up with nudes in different media. My kids and anyone who visits are used to my work and like it. Not once has it been considered anything but art.
The purposes of art refer to intentional, conscious actions on the part of the artists or creator. These may be to bring about political change, to comment on an aspect of society, to convey a specific emotion or mood, to address personal psychology, to illustrate another discipline, to (with commercial arts) to sell a product, or simply as a form of communication. Wikipedia.
I've been throughout Europe and there was sure a difference in the nudes/semi-nudes of art and the red light district in Amsterdam. I once dated a man until he showed me his house. His bedroom was plastered with centerfolds. No wall could be seen. He called the women 'art.'I called him creepy.
Art is a skill, a gift; not jerk-off material. Comment?

There ARE "people" who would get "aroused," looking at Rodin's "The Kiss," right? Is the flaw with the art, or with the person viewing it?
.
The naked human female, as depicted in the examples I cited, AND as a gatefold in PLAYBOY®, are exactly the same: Works of Art. And here is why the naked or nude female is a work of art:
.
She was "sculpted" BY GAWD. Gawd is the best artist in the Universe, as anyone who has ever seen a sunset in Hawaii, will tell you.
.
What Rodin created with hammer and chisel, Gawd created with egg and sperm. Both creations are beautiful, both are art, and NEITHER is at all "demeaning," either to the artist or the subject.
.
In 1971, the US Supreme Court agreed with me, by ruling that, "the naked human body, per se, is NOT 'obscene'." If I can find the exact reference where that quote is from, I'll share it with you, here.

So you would be my ex-friend with centerfolds all over your bedroom calling it art?

Did you even read my part? I've been to the Rodin Museums and have a huge book of his.

There are people who would get aroused looking at my dog.
