  • Sounds cooler that way lol i dont know for sure.
  • Vowel sounds tend to sound as one when pronounced together. Similarly, there was an Aamco Transmissions chain when I was growing up. Their jingle was double-A M C O. Obviously there are everyday examples where both the vowels are pronounced, like A A for that organization where people get up in front of strangers and profess so some profound inability to control substance intake.
  • The insurance company is known as Triple A not AAA It sounds better to my ear. Although to be honest with you I have never heard of the NAACP being called the NdoubleACP. Perhaps it is regional. On the west coast I have heard it referred to as the NAACP only. :)
  • Both have been used.
  • The "double" seems to have more of a ring to it.
